Great app. It is extremely user friendly and the results are very good. i can recommend it.

ok.. so I decided to buy this app knowing full well it would not be able to perform perfectly… but it does do an ok job. you cannot play around with too many things except for contrast, line thickness, brightness and colour saturation.. if you are looking for an app that is quick to turn your photos into a drawing, then this is not too too bad. I find that the background in images seem to be grainy almost like printed with newspaper ink. in the sample images the blacks are black and it seems smooth in the background. I use a Nikon d90 and transformed some of those pics and noticed it took some elements from the background and rendered them with very grainy black ink; does not look too nice but the actual picture was ok. app usage: could be good if you are trying to get inspired to draw or are practising drawing people, animals, hair etc… it helps determine where the lines should be; so you can try copying what you see until you start getting better at determining the ink lines on your own; at least that is what I will be using it for mostly. .. just in case you guys are trying to find a good use for this app.

I needed a simple apps to transform picture into drawing and it does the job at 80%. Very easy to use only 3 adjustment (4 if you use color). I think that you can get a good quality sketch with almost no effort. Im sure that you can get better result with a professionnal app but it wont be quick.

great program for the price.

The the drag and drop feature is extremely easy to use and works great. The only con; if you want to close the sketched photo, the only way to close it without saving it is by shutting the program down. There is no way to keep the program running and closing the sketched photo that you do not want to keep. However, for the price of this app, its worth the minor inconvenience.

Simple to use and pretty cool when picking the right photo to sketch. I really appreciate the simple lines when changing one of my photos into a painting. My daughter bought the app after I changed some pictures of her and her baby into sketches.

This app does one thing and it doesnt do it well. The pictures in the Mac App Store make it look a lot better than it is. Im really glad I didnt pay full price for this app. Wish I hadnt payed anything but thats life. There are 3 things you can adjust: line thickness, brightness, contrast. Then you can make it look like it has a paper background. The "drawings" do not look realistic. There are dozens of other photography apps in the Mac App Store that have filters that do a much better job. Dont bother with this flop!

I wish Id read the second review before making my purchase. The sketch quality is much better in the add than the actual app. However it was only $5 and the concept is neat.

IT WORKS FINE! PLAY WITH the settings. YOULL GET GREAT results. For a mere $5 or $10 app it does the trick, big time. Excellent sketching detail in photos THAT HAVE excellent detail! With the right photos (highly detailed) this app is commendable! I will be using some of these renderings in a published book! It has rendered AIRCRAFT and PORTRAITURE extremely well.

i used primarly to coloring picture that i take , i love it , easy to use.

seriously this does nothing more than the free apps, for the $$ I was expecting so much more

An excellent app!! Very simply and light but with a lot of features.

So much easier than the program I’ve used for years to accomlish this effect. Didn’t cost several hundred dollars either. Great program and well worth the price.

This program is cool! I am a Transformers fan and I just took a picture of Optimus Prime and turned him into a hand drawn image and he looks good! The price for this program is above and beyond what its worth!! Buy this program if you like turning pictures into drawings!

While I do have photoshop installed, every so often, I just need a quick sketch from photo and this does the trick.

Photo sketcher is so amazing, I am having so much fun with my projects. It is very easy to use, the program does all the work. I just drop the pictures in the box and be amazed. I love it, glad I made the purchase. Truly magical!! Lexus Girl

No words but just great and I love it! Had no problems with it!

Havent had this much fun since the seventh grade school picnic. If this computer challenged old dog can use this program, anyone can to create some unique sketches.At the very worst, its a ton of fun just playing around with it to see what you can do with some of your photos. I was able to take a run of the mill snapshot of my granddaughter and turn it into a sketch worth printing and framing. I cannot imagine what someone with real artistic challenge could do with it.
